“System” Non-Harmonic Tone (Lower Auxiliary)

Playing outside the chord can be a very powerful tool. Ideally you want to maintain a focus on the chord sound when using Non-Harmonic Tones. This particular variety is called a Lower Auxiliary or Lower Neighbor. In the example we are using a Cma7 arpeggio and applying the Non-Harmonic Tone to each chord tone.
