Sub-Division Exercise

This exercise gets straight to the point by comparing subdivisions of 2, 3, and 4. Only move to the faster subdivision once you feel fully locked into the meter. If you advance and find your sense of time weakening, step back to the previous grouping and re-establish your pulse before trying again. With consistent practice, sixteenth notes will begin to feel effortless, and your ability to move between various rhythmic groupings will become steady and reliable.
