G7 Mixolydian and Blues Lines

When playing over G7 in a blues context you can source lines native to the chord (G7 arpeggio or G Mixolydian) or play Minor Pentatonic/Blues lines. Here we have each approach being used. As you gain control you can combine the two into unified melodies.

Most players focus primarily on the minor approach and will rarely use the chord approach. Combining the two will elevate your playing by expanding your vocabulary.
