Altered Dominant Voicings

This is not meant to be an exhaustive compilation of voicings but rather a way to show voicings and potential melody notes relative to 5th and 6th string rooted dominant chords. The first diagram (marked with red) offers an overall view of all altered tones in relation to the root. This is followed by a collection of voicings for the most common altered dominant chords. Beyond being a useful tool for learning chord shapes, this approach also highlights how each note relates to the chord, offering valuable insight for melodic development.
