Reasonable Expectation is meant to be a modern take on a Brazilian Bossa Nova. I set out to achieve this by keeping the tonal center ambiguous and using melodic syncopation that crosses bar lines in a polyrhythmic way.. I found the result very satisfying so I introduced the song to RedShift. We performed it many times.
