I wrote this medium swing tune on February 21, 2023. My intention was for a melody that inspired the accompanying instruments to interact. The tempo naturally invites dynamic interaction, and I intentionally built in rhythmic figures and breaks to highlight those opportunities. Structurally, the tune follows a classic AABA form. The bridge starts out sparse and gradually builds. It was written for RedShift, and we’ve performed it many times.
