Last Tune was composed on December 25th, 2014. I originally wrote it for Goodis & Glenn, and we recorded it for our fourth CD, New Song. Later, I performed it with RedShift and also featured it in my Quarantine 2020 Project.
The melody has an open feeling with long phrases and space. The tonality reflects a tension by using the Mixolydian Mode. The release on bar 8 softens the tension without actually resolving. The short bridge sneaks up on you before returning to the tension of the D9.
