“Twelve Eight” was composed around 1985, during a period when I was studying classical guitar. Naturally, I began writing pieces to support and enhance my learning. More than anything, this particular composition was a personal etude—designed to challenge and sharpen my playing skills. At the time, I had access to a 1984 Macintosh computer equipped with basic sequencing software and a simple tone generator. The only surviving recording from that era is a playback captured directly from that system.
