“Melody Project” was created in 2021 as a composing challenge for my students. The task was to take a given set of chords and craft an original melody. Everyone rose to the challenge and did exceptionally well. This piece is my own solution to that assignment. Although it hasn’t yet found its way into a live performance, perhaps that day will come.
